i was just wondering what bass do you currently own that attracts attention??
Since nobody in my area had seen a multiscale bass before, my custom Stambaugh definitely gets a lot of attention.
The Ric always gets a look and the Raspberry Stingray turns some heads.
My Tom Clement. It's a purty bass... Not that I actually gig or anything.
This one. It's one my dad and I built on our coffee table. I get tons of compliments on both looks and tone. It's mah babeh.
my trabens, just because they are so
The flat black finish and all-black hardware is definitely a head-turner. It's also great because I can honestly say it's not a fender that I modded...it's a crate electra body with everything else bought aftermarket. Totally my pride and joy bass...a lot of work but totally worth every bit of it
Nice fretboard inlay on that black one! I like it a lot
Kala U-Bass. It always turns heads when I gig with it. The sound guy's mind is ALWAYS blown . . .
25 5/8" five string. Tunes to pitch B-G. Tele guitar size body, Basswood back w/maple cap.
My ATK and my fretted Jazz, though to be fair I play them the most.
Banjozilla! They don't just turn their heads....They run in fear!
Actually, whenever I take 'ol Banjozilla out to a bluegrass festival, I spend most of my time demonstrating it and answering questions. It's always a crowd pleaser. And kind of hard to ignore.
It just turned 20. I built it back in 1991-1992. It still stands guard in the office hall of my shop.
Edit: For those of you asking questions, here's the web page on Banjozilla, telling the whole story. There are more pictures and an audio clip.
my green Fernandes gets lots of attention. I reserve it for special occasions, but it sounds AMAZINGLY good.
Probably my 4003FL
Sweet translucent green Fernades Burny Bass!
People like the looks of my Carvin.
easy, this one
my custom shop Peavey Furby.. um I mean Fury..
My Electric Cheeto Ibanez.
I don't have any pics of my basses on my laptop but both my Peavey Cirrus 6'er with a flamed redwood top and birdseye FB and my Elrick NJs 5'er with a claro walnut top and chechen FB always get attention from both bassists and guitarists.
