I believe the company would be Thomastik-Infeld Strings. It took me awhile to figure it out too. :)

Most people here get them through Dude at the Pit.

Anders, if you find an European distributor, tell me. They are based in Austria, I think, so there should be someone around..

    Check Millbrook Musiikki in Helsinki.
    www.millbrook.fi

    Jazz - 45 eur
    Powerbass - 39,50 eur

Not very cheap, but still quite normal prices for strings here in Finland.

    EDIT:I messed with 4 and 5-string sets.

http://www.thomann.de lists a four string set (JF344) at 35 Euro, and a five string set (jf345) at 52 Euro. I guess you'd like to buy some more things at the same time to keep the shipping and handling overhead down though.

Well that's a surprise! I looked for them half a year ago and there were none to be found. Thanks, guys.

I bought them via the internet direct from their own site - as has been mentioned, they are based in Austria, so things like VAT being added doesn't come into it - they wer pretty cheap, compared to what I might pay in England.
