I just picked up a Peavey Mark IV head. It will do for now and I have run a Hartke (some dudes in out jam space) and a Amep B series 4x10 (at the LMS), and it works fine. I need to pick up a cab for it and I am curious what the more experienced guy that have or have owned a Mark IV have found to be a could cab for it.

I just picked one up today and I'm running it with a Genz Benz 410T-XB2. Sounds great!
  4. Whatever cab you end up with, focus on it being a 4 ohm version. Otherwise (such as with an 8 ohm cab), you won't even get 200 watts out of it. The 8 ohm rating is ~130 watts.

I still own an old Mark IV and two good old 2 x 15" Black Widow cabs pushing the Mark IV's 300 watts at two ohms running;with a P-Bass is heavenly if you love old school tone.

I actually still use an old mark lll. (bought new 27 years ago!!) I currently run genz-benz cabs. A 4-10 for larger clubs, a 2-10xb for small/mid sized clubs, and both for large venues and outdoor gigs. Over the years have also run just about every combonation 1-15, 2-15's, 1-15 &2-10, 2-12's etc...IMO the old mark lll's & lV's are the most reliable amps ever made.
