So I just bought a Trace Elliot V-type (model 5001, year 1996) for approx. $400. Now I need a cab! I'm thinking about a used noname JBL 15" for $135 or maybe save up for the Ashdown 4x10?

    Any suggestions?

ok, I guess I wasn't very informative, let me try again:

I recently bought my first real amp (been using a BDDI or whatever the house amp), a Trace Elliot V-type.

I dont know much about cabs, except that I need one. A pretty cheap one too, appr. $200. The head is 280W RMS, 580W peak, minimum load is 4 ohm. I play in a pretty loud rock 'n' roll band and need to cut through. I'm not into slapping or any hi-fi sounds. I like old-shool sounds: Paul McCartney, Carol Kaye, Geezer, JPJ.

Now I need some advice before I buy a cab. How much wattage? 1x15 or 4x10 or what? I was thinking about starting off with a 8 ohm 15" and then maybe adding a 2x10 if I need. Any suggestions would be nice.

    Thanks in advance!

Not much around for that price I don't think.
