I have a black MIM Precision mid 90's. What can I expect to find under the black paint if I were to strip it off?
Is it a multipiece bass or one solid piece of wood?
    What type of wood?
What kind of a grain is usually hidden under paint?

It's probably 2, 3, or more pieces of Poplar.

...that's not a very pretty wood, which is why it's finished.
