What can I pair with my 2x12

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by waytoodeep03, Jul 20, 2009.

  1. I have an avatar 2x12 and I played 2x15's in the store today. Man the thunder was mind blowing.

Since I have 2x12's what can I pair with that that is also lightweight that can give me the thunder that 2x15's can?

    Remember lightweight

    Another 212.

Get another identical cab, and get nothing else unless you are entirely replacing the rig.

    edit: You beat me Bill.

+ infinity. Then stack them vertically so you have a tall stack of 4 drivers.

I just had a look at the website. These speakers in his cabs are mounted diagonally to each other. What do you reckon is the best way to stack two of these cabs, because unless you suspend that a crazy angle you ain't going to be getting them vertical. Bill?

Sell the 2x12 and get two 2x15's. Who's the manufacturer of the 2x15 cab?

Just stack them as normal. Make sure you get as much vertical height, so if they are wider than they are taller, turn them on their side.
