What can you tell me about this ancient Framus?

    What can you tell me about this ancient Framus bass?

    The ad says it's a Framus Star. Asking "best offer". The ad mentions he'll ship.

    It's probably out of my price league, but I'm shipping off a €150 offer.

    Framus had a few variations on their Star Bass theme. This is a 5/149: Framus Vintage

    The control set-up beats me, but this bass is visibly smaller than Bill Wyman's near-iconic Framus bass. This one seems to have a body about the size of a Kay Speed Demon. The bass used by the bass player in the Tornadoes ("Telstar") has a similar headstock.

    The seller shot down my offer, saying that he's gotten better ones. I figured from the gate that I couldn't afford it, but a low ball offer costs nothing but time. Which I have a lot of.

    Anyway, if any of you want to jump on this....

    I'd say in today's market, €150 would be an insult. Not that I'd pay much more, but I've seen Star basses go for 4 figures.
