    Compares to a Danelectro. I think they might have even been made by Danelectro.

    I forget the exact story, but Silvertone and Danelectro were basically the same thing.

    is the bass decent" does it have a vintage vibe? or is it not worth it?

    Only way I'd go that high on it is if it actually is a Dano, not a Silvertone. The Danos seem to bring more on the collector's market.

    Well, if it's a Dano, not a Silvertone, you kinda take yer chances. Danos can be great, but from what I hear, they're notoriously...cheap. Meaning that if you get ahold of a good one- great, but the p'ups tend to wear out and the necks (and materials in general) tend to be flimsy.

    If it's a Silvertone, I don't think I'd even bother, but that's just me.

    I'd just try and find a recent used Dano.
