Looking for advice, especially any photos, of some Honeyburst (this one happens to be a Fender Roscoe Beck 4) basses with something other than antique white pickguards. Im thinking tortoise or white pearloid....???
  2. gold anodized, maybe? i've never seen the combo personally, but i bet it would look killer.

White pearloid looks great, black can be nice too. I also have seen a cream/parchment work well. I find plain white a little stark.

    White pearloid
  8. +1, or stick with a honey, tan, or copper hue to compliment the bass's color.

Find the "Anyone need a photoshop?" thread and see if he'll do your bass with some different colors and see what you like.

Well, my jazz isnt 'honeyburst' but a similar fender brown sunburst. You can sorta get the idea though...I vote red tort.

My honeyburst Sterling came with a white guard.

I changed it to black, which I like a lot more.

MOTO is the universal pickguard material - it goes with almost anything!
  14. Tort! It'll look fabulous.

clear if there's nothing under the pickguard, but there's probably electronics under there (i dunno anything about these basses). i like the white, but black and red tort look good too!
