What Color Pickguard on Shell Pink?

    Hey there, Im putting together an old Musicmaster Bass and am refinishing it shell pink. Im also a terrible decision maker and was looking for opinions on what color i should make the pickguard....

    Mint always looks fine but might be a little too boring for me because im going less for an original look and more for a cosmetically attractive look. Pearloid I think would be good and I also saw a pic of a shell pink Jazz with a tortoiseshell and it looked pretty damn good... What about others Im forgetting? Anodized, black pearl...

    Mint/white.

    I find thats the only PG colour that sets off any of the pastelly fender colours (Surf Green, Seafoam etc) IMHO.

    I'm not one to promote tort, because I feel that it is so over done these days.

    But for shell pink, there IS no other better combination than tort.

    Only two colours I would use:

    Mint
    Pearloid

    Pink and black is the only way to go.

    Hmm Looks like Tortoiseshell and Mint tied... I think Ill go tortoiseshell!

    I voted Pearloid. Idk, just like that look. Never liked tortoise shell, but for that matter, I don't like sunburst either. I'm putting pearloid on my black Ric.

    Mirror. I wish a mirror PG would look good on my bass because they're my favorite. But it just wouldn't look right.

    not mine but only thing that goes with shell pink is white or aged white.. I will be doing a shell pink P bass soon for myself :)

    White for summer starting on Memorial Day, tort for the rest of the year. Don't leave the white one on after Labor Day.:D
