Following JT's enlightening poll, I've been wanting to find out what most people have as their main bass. Do please feed my curiousity...

    Cheers,

    Alex

    I didn't vote as I own a fretless 4 and a fretted 5 which I rotate. It's been the 5 recently but I feel a fretless frenzy coming on...

5-string fretted.. Probably always will be.. but I do plan on getting a nice 4 or 5-string fretless here one day

  4. My main bass is a 4-string fretted, and it probably always will be. I would like to have a fretless 4 eventually, and I might occasionally use a 5 fretted.

It depends on the situation and my mood whether it's a fretted 4 or 5.

  6. Fretted 4. The 4 will be with you , always.

    Fretted 4 string.

I have a 5, but rarely have the need to play it.

Fretted 6 string and fretless 5 string. But I play fretted 4, 5, and 12 a lot too.

I voted 6 string fretless for my main Curbow, but my new 6 string fretted ABG will be getting a lot of use with my Instrumental group, as will my 5 string fretted Curbow/VBass setup, and my 8 string doubled fretless.

Although, it really depends on my mood, and how my hands feel, and how long the gig is going to last.

Six string fretted (Zon Legacy 6) is my main bass. but my Lakland 55-01 (5 string fretted) gets used almost as much! I am gassing for a 5 string fretless which I'll have sooner or later

Main bass is a Conklin GT-7... trying to find a fretless version.

But I keep my 6'ers close by too.

5 string fretted spector NS2000 Q5. The fretless 5 is gaining ground though! I never have, and never will own a 4...unless of course, i got really really into my slapping..;)
