not sure exactly what they pay me for... but people call me all day for me to talk them through fixing computer and voice mail and domain and internet and all sorts of other geek typed problems.

Good luck on that engineering gig. Those jobs are harder to get than a position as a rock star, and don't pay nearly as much. Trust me on this.

As for me, I work part time at a music store on Haight St. in San Francisco. Hopefully I will be making some money playing gigs fairly soon as well.

Senior Customer Service Manager for a telecommunications company/ISP. I have only one customer. They bill 8 million dollars a month with us and as a result, carry a big paddle that is applied to my behind on a daily basis. There are a few perks though. Most of the people that report to me are very nice looking women. I have unlimited internet accesss, and I have great views out of my 25th floor office window of downtown Charlotte NC, and the stadium and practice field for the Carolina Panthers. All in all, I'd rather be playing music full time though. Corporate life is not what life is about by any means.

  7. I was employed say one year ago but got involved in an accident so I'm on sickpay but the doctor says give me another 6 months and I should be okay to work
But I'm gonna be a student next year
Being a student at my age seems kinda weird
I should've done this when I was leaving school
    Damn alcohol and girls :D

My careers since '01 have all involved working with young people in some capacity.

I taught at a private college in China. That was fun.
I did social work with middle school kids for a year and a half. That was fun too.
Now I'm the program manager/specialist for a specialized learning program at a high school. That's fun so far.

I'm a full-time stay at home father right now-meaning I watch my 11-month old from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed. It hasn't left much time for my regular job, which is as a fine artist. Boy, and I thought being an artist paid bad :D I do recieve disability payments because I'm legally blind though, so that helps pay for all of my bills and food.

Part time community college student, part time General Clerk at a grocery store. I fix things, and generally go generic jobs. Put up signs, fix carts, clean up wine when customers knock over displays, load people's cars full of presto logs, mop out freezers with water (that one's fun).

This won't be my career. I have no idea what to do. My grades are suffering this quarter due to a bunch of crap that's happening to me. My dreams are to be a musician or to own a record store with a friend. But my parents just keep crapping all over my dreams, they want me to get a 9-5 job in some office somewhere and churn them out grandkids. And that has no appeal to me, but they can't/won't accept that.

I should be a full time student but I essentially gave up on that since I dont like it one bit and I dont like what its leading too. My only income is from gigging and the only thing I work on is music, so for now thats what I do. That and leeching.

When I move back to Miami Ill be working over-time at some random crap job and working over-overtime as a musician. Did it once and it was the most satisfying experience of my life.
