    Hey everyone,

I have a local trade pending and I wanted to check the knowledge base of the TB brotherhood before I pull the trigger.

    I have:
SLM Era Ampeg SVT III-Pro in good+ condition
    Ampeg 410HE in good condition
    Ampeg 410HE in poor condition
All gear works as it should minus the amp. The speakon jack has failed.

    The other side has offered:
    Spector Legend 4 in Black/Rosewood/Black
    Dean Razor NT in Natural/Rosewood/Gold
Condition is quoted as "Both are like brand new. Never gigged and set up with kick*** action."

I've always been a Fender guy so I know NOTHING about the Spector and Dean basses. What do you guys think? I priced the Ampeg gear locally at $500. Do you think I undervalued the Ampeg gear? The local market here sucks for resale.... :(

I am not a big fan of trading someone almost always get the short end. I like to deal in cash ;)

If all that's wrong with the 3 Pro is the speakon jack, easy fix. No way I'd make that trade personally. Dean and Spector make nice stuff at that price range, but I think your rig is worth more.

Interesting. Do you think there is any sort of demand for these specific basses?

I've been trying to trade this gear for cash for a while but there just doesn't seem to be any demand for Ampeg stuff anymore.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, right?

    :help:

The Legends usually go for $350 used. I couldnt find much info on the Dean,

I would say you stack is worth a little more then the trade and would be easier to sell then the basses

FYI, I ended up trading the svt3 and a 410HLF for a road ready Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 1000 and $100. The cab is a little beat, but it has the cover and it sounds monsterous with the 2 pro. Pictures tomorrow.... :)

So here is the beast that now holds my monster...

I specifically avoided the TB search when considering this cab. It sounds great and pushes a lot of air. Not sure if it will be sticking around long (this pig is HEAVY), but for the time being it works just fine.

I'm also considering sacrificing the cabinet itself and using the speakers in a sealed 410/ported 115 build, only if I do find over time this cabinet isn't going to resell for what I have into it. But so far, it's thumping just fine...
