What do you mean by "hotrodding"

    Can someone explain me what hotrodding is?

    I believe that hot-rodding is customizing one's bass in almost any way. I don't think I'd say I was "hot-rodding" a bass if I simply put on a new pickguard.

    If you want to get technical, I'd say that hot-rodding a bass consists of customizing, replacing, or upgrading anything besides strings and the pickguard. That includes pickups, bridge, hardware, neck, body, and anything else that could be swapped for something else. There's my two pennies...
