This might be better in the Amps Forum. My main gig amp is an Eden Metro combo. At church, I play through an SWR Basic Black combo. At the practice shed, I keep my Peavey TNT 130 combo. In the bedroom, next to my PC, is my Fender Bassman 25 combo, the best sounding and loudest combo under $350.
Oh geez, one of those "i need DSL or a cable modem" threads... but here's my rig. Demeter VTBP-201s, Stewart World 1.2, Aguilar GS112.
waiting for delivery of one of these and i Practice (privately) through this. It's an older model, and it has to be the best practice amp i've come across, exceptionally made, tank-like in fact. However i have seen some newer variations of it when everything was ok at TE, perhaps transistional models, which looked very cheap. oh well, at least i have Ernie EA Although theres not much between them in size, but the EA is a hell of a lot heavier and louder . I play through them with Beverley overwater and Fiona "fretless yamaha 5" and we're all very happy at the moment, my ulimtae setup is near completion, hahaha stu
When I was shopping a couple years ago I found that at the $350 price point the Trace Elliot Boxer 30 trumped the Fender 25 by a very large margin in both sound quality and quantity. The newer Fenders may be better though, that was a few years ago. This is definitely better for the amps forum. My "big" rig is a 1966 Fender Bassman amp and an old (white label) Eden D210T speaker. My practice amp is the aforementioned pre-Gibson Trace Elliot Boxer 30 which I love.
Yes, I still have two of them. I don't see the honeymoon being over anytime soon with the H&K though. It took over ten years to find something I thought was a big enough improvement over what I was using to make a change. I also still have the Ampeg B-100R and still dig it too. And the Polytone MiniBrute III and Yamaha PB-1 and several power amps. And too many speakers though I have cut down. The current rig can more than handle any gigs I do.
The big rig is an Ashdown ABM900 with Ashdown ABM 4x10 and 2x8 cabs. Compact rig is an iAMP 350 (which should be here soon--had to get it replaced by EA because Bass Place ignored me) and an ABM-Mini 110T cab. I'm hoping to get a CXL112 when I can afford stuff again.
Right now I have a Nemesis 210 combo amp, I just bought an ampeg bxt-410hl (Victor Wooten Steve Bailey Design) and I am about to purchase a carvin DCM1500 power amp and grab an aquilar or ampeg pre-amp
No pics, sorry, but I use Eden WT-300 (as pre-amp and backup power) Carvin DCM1000 (regular power) Two 8 ohm Eden D-410XLTs or, as some call it, the Rig of Doom or the Death Rig. Take yer pick.
' Me too. Unfortunately i don't own it, I only borrow it from the music-school where i study/work for gigs.
I really need to get a digital camera... no pics. Bag End S15-D (x2) Bag End S18-D (only comes to outdoor shows and really big clubs) Ashdown ABM RPM1 Mackie 1400i power amp Korg rack tuner XWire Furman power conditioner
