Wha are your opinions on this Conklin that i am thinking about buying
I absofrigginlutely loved the GT7f I had for a while...but it has a different fingerboard and pickups than the Gt4s. So I don't really know how different it would be from the one you're looking at- substantially, I'd assume though.
Generally the GrooveTool series are well-respected. The construction's good, the wenge neck is awesome, and the tones are very nice. I just don't know for sure how the one you're looking at might sound.
Have you played it? How much will it cost you?
I played a Conklin like that in a Guitar Center here in New York. It played well and sounded good, I happened to get a Great deal on a Peavey Cirrus off ebay and jumped on that instead , so the cash is low right now. I still may purchase the GT-5, wanna play one of 'em first though. Just so you know G.C. here in N.Y had it on a green tag sale for $399.00. L8R
I have a GT5...plays great and sound superb. I absolutely recommend them.
My next bass will be a Conklin custom...great sound and support.
