What do you record to?

  1. What do you plug the mixer/recording device to?

I've heard mixed things. Mini disk? directly onto the computer?

I plug my Zoom 9030 (preamp for the bass) directly into my Midiman Delta Audiophile 2496 soundcard.
My PC runs on W98/Win2k and I use several sequencer programs depending on the situation.

  3. I forgot to mention I was trying to say the band's whole mix.

I've got a Sansamp going into a Tascam 788 Digital 8 track. It's got 8 inputs, so I have had a miked guitar cabinet, 5 tracks of drums, and two bass tracks at one time. Sounds great. At some point, I'll post something online.

  5. 16 Channel mixer
    8 tracks of drums
    2 tracks of guitar
    1 track of bass
    2 vocal tracks

all of that mixed down to my Mini-Disc player/recorder.

Works pretty good for basement recordings.

I record on to a zip 100 disk from my Boss-BR-8. After that I record it onto my minidisk.
