  1. I am GASing lately for a good Fender , I used to have a couple of deluxe's but I am thinking something more vintage
I love the Jazz 74 reissue and this baby, what are your comments regarding this Fender® American Vintage ’62 Precision Bass®??

Best Fenders Fender has ever made, bar none. I'd get one in a heartbeat if my 98 Jazz wasn't so perfect already.
  3. Its real nice to grab a peice of history.Holding that old bass makes you wonder where its been gigged and who has held it.Does it play better than a mew one?Who cares.Try it you,ll know if its yours in 8 bars or less ;)

    I owned one.
    Liked it a lot.
But upgraded to a Lakland USA Bob Glaub.
The difference was the Lakland was better made, and I dig the Fralin pickups, and string-thru bridge.
Both had vintage fender feel, but the lakland is the closest to and old fender vibe.
If you hold and play both models, to me lakland wins out.
    It costs more?
If money is problem, get fender.
