Cobain didn't come up with that design. His "Jagstang" is a stretched out version of the Jaquar.

I am looking into ordering samples of it right now.

cobain actually did come up with that design. i have an article somewhere where it talks about him going to fender with this piece of paper with a mustang and jaguar spliced together on it.
that is an ok looking bass, i am not one for the musicman pickups, but slap on some EMG's or Darkstars and id thump that all night long (at a gig of course ;) )

Cobain came up with the Jagstang, a combination of the Jaquar and the Mustang (2 existing designs from way back.) Attached is a photo fo Cobain's creation. Just wanted to clarify that he did not come up with the original Jaquar design.

  8. Isn't that a Stagg? You know, the crappy Music Go Round brand.

Could be a Stagg, but it can be anything you name it.

I love the vintage vibe, and the dual humbuckers look, and would sound awesome.

It has a matching headstock, but the photo was too large to get it all in.

  12. its a stagg...guarenteed. i almost bought one, but i was informed that they are of an inferior quality, so i held off, and got my jag-shaped bass from hambone.

do a search for "jaguar shaped basses" and you will find me asking about the exact same bass!

to me it was perfect...jaguar shaped,2 humbuckers, blue, short-scale...everything i want in a bass, but everyone who tried that specific bass said it wasn't worth it.

btw, sorry if you were only asking opinions of the pic, in which i love the jaguar shape!

Looks nice, but neck diving is probably an important issue with that short upper horn.

  14. i dig it....add a split coil in the middle and i reckon it'd be rather nice....32"scale for me please :D

It's just a matter of time for the Jazz bass shaped guitar to come out.
