What do you think of Thomas Miller (Symphony X)?

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by him666, Jun 10, 2005.

  1. Hi,
One of my biggest influences is Thomas Miller of Symphony X. He can plays very fast and he creates original lines. I hardly can find any information about him. Does anyone know anything about him?
Listen to the song "The Divine wings of tragedy" of Symphony X for example.
    Thanks.

I like Thomas Miller quite a bit but actually prefer Michael Lepond's playing with the band much better.

  3. Thomas Miller was a bette bassist then Lepond. I don't know much, but he tunes down a whole step on everything and is crazy good. The first tapping thing I ever learned was Pharoah:-D

  4. Yeah far better than Lepond in my opinion :)

I saw Lepond a few months back in NJ playing bass with a Queensryche covers band. Good solid player. Not hugely familiar with his Symphony X playing though, more familiar with Thomas Miller, who is very good.
