I have an old 60's Kimberly Hofner-copy (hollow body) violin bass whose electronics/pu's have long since passed away...

Anyway, upon taking out all the electronics and restringing it I found it had an awesome "acoustic" tone...although it is pretty quiet compared to a regular ABG

Right now the "soundholes" are the places where the pickups and the electronics were

Anyidea how I could boost the volume of this Frankenbass? I do plan on adding an acoustic bass pickup (either a piezo of my own design, or, perhaps one of Bob Gollihur's), but for now I'm just looking to increase its projection for acoustic playing

Any input wil be graciously received

    Thanks!
