What does anyone know about the Acacia Gruv?

I did a search and found next to nothing on the Acacia Gruv.

I went to the Acacia website and it appears that Mathew Friedman is not going to be building anymore basses.

I've seen and played a couple. They were Matt's own take on the Jazz Bass, with a bolt-on exotic wood laminated neck on a vaguely J-shaped body. Like all the Acacias I've seen, they were well-made, with some beautiful woods, though I personally didn't care for the headstock at all.

Brian Barrett has some photos in the gallery over on his site, The Low End (http://www.angelfire.com/ab2/bbarrett2/page51.html), since he was an Acacia dealer. He's a TB member, too, and I'm sure would be able to answer some questions if he notices this thread.

Mike, thanks for the reply and lead to the info on Brian's website.

I agree regarding the headstock. That alone is something that I wouldn't care for.
