What does changing your basses bridge do?

    I was just wondering what changing your bridge actually does? how does it benefit you?

    Unless it is a rattling piece of junk usually nothing in my opinion.

    if you have some low cost bridge changing it can add sustain and clarity. i changed mine the b string sounds much better and i got more sustain...
