  1. Could someone enlighten me to what are the best earplugs to buy and that have the most protection but don't blockout the sound to much? Also where do you get them from? Any replies much appreciated thanks.

I have LA-CONS E.A.R and they were efficient (though not really comfortable) but I believe custom ear plugs should be better (but a lot more expensive).

Great initiative to use hearing protection!
I use Bilsom "music and swimming plugs", which take away too much. So why do I use it? Because of a straight attenuation curve and looooong cues to the audiologist!
Once there, I will get ER-9 or ER-15's, made of soft silicone. Or possibly Earphoon's acrylic plugs, if thats better for my ears.
Anyway - it will be worth every half cent of the approx $150 it will cost.
ABSOLUTELY -I don't want more tinnitus than I already got!!
