EHX make so many different distortion pedals for bass I 'm confused and not sure what to get. At the moment I'm thinking Bass Big Muff Deluxe. Also wondering about Hot Wax. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Russian reissue Muff, is my preference. The deluxe bass Muff looks pretty cool though. I’ve never tried it.

I have an old Black Russian muff that I had modified to rams head specs, and I think it can’t be beat! That might be a good route for you, look on CL and you might find one cheap like I did!

Love EHX in general, never was happy with any of their dirt boxes for bass.

The Bass Big Muff deluxe is nothing special, in my opinion...I just couldn't get along well with that blend :vomit:: clean signal with the dirty one under it, it just disappears in the mix. This was my experience. The Sovtek Deluxe seems more interesting and versatile...
I have the Russian Reissue and it's a beast

  10. Personally, I think other companies make EHX pedals better than they do.

Wren & Cuff for the win!

What? How can other companies make EHX pedals. I'm not sure I understand you. And who is Wren and Cuff.

Ah, I see. I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with pedals to know which would be EhX clones. In principle what I really like about EhX is their huge range of bass specific pedals that seemtobe very well priced. And what's best of all for me is that they're made in America by Americans.
