I think it goes well with all kinds of finish, what do you guys like it with.
I dig moto pickguards on most anything.. 'specially Lake Placid Blue.
I like them with bright colors in transparent finishes like green.
I like vintage on vintage.
With a white pearloid a classic sunburst is beautiful. And blacks look very nice on naturals.
i have a little thing for white pearloid gaurds with ernie ball trans orange.
Trans-Blue looks cool with a pearloid guard
Black, natural, vintage white, white, vintage yellow, sunburst.
That's all I can really think of.
Trans blue, or black IMO.
Trans blues and greens work really well with perliod. My favorite burst with perliod would have to be cherryburst.
They also look pretty cool against a natural finish
black basses with any sort of perloid pickguard look damn good.
dark blue basses with white perloid
and, imho, vintage sunburst basses look truly best with tortise pickguards
Red burst on a quilted top with white pearloid guard. *DROOL*
I've got a trans blue quilt Sadowsky on order with a pearloid guard. I'll post pics when it arrives
I am getting ready to put my deposit on a Sadowsky tokyo just like Nino's.
Major, they're awesome. I played a natural finished 4 string in July when I was in NYC. I was tempted to pick it up but I already have 3!! You won't regret it. They thump!
2000 MIA P Inca Silver w/ blue pearloid. Took me a while to get used to it but I think it looks pretty smart.
HEY!!! LOOK AT THE BASS, NOT THE TIT!!!!
Better perspective...I hope.
I love the look of brown picasso pickguards on maple bodies. (The guitar on the stand)
Personally I'm into metallic pickguards though.
I saw a very nice stingray with a white pearloid pickguard on a white finish and it looked pretty sweet.
not the big fan of perloid.
i love them only on sparling bass. looks great on this black sparkle;
