So, my Rockbag finally broke, and I'm in search for a new gigbag. I want one with good padding, big pockets for sheet music etc. and that the bag lasts for years in everyday use without breaking.

    So what will it be?

I believe that I recall seeing a web page on the "Body Bag". Great reviews. Best I remember though, they were really pricey.

A quick google should turn them up.

Did you buy in Canada or order from the States?

  5. I have a ritter one, does the trick, prefer hardcases myself (just not carrying them)

I've got a gig skinz bag...pretty good, but a little bit flashy-looking for my tastes.

If you're looking for quality in a lower price range, the
Carvin bass bag is a stupid good deal. Dense padding,
big storage up at the headstock. Large cord and music
storage. (holds a 3 ring binder) A third cord and tool pocket.
Padded backpack straps. At $35. (used to be $25.) its
one of the best deals around. I use it more than my
Undercover bags, and I LOVE my Undercover bags. Just
thought I'd offer a cheap alternative.

The advanced rockbags are actually really good, heavily padded, pockets and all.

I have three of them and they are fantastic. I have had Reunion Blues and Moradians and the Under Cover bags hold up better than any other bag I have had. Had mine for like three years now and not even a hint of a rip or tear.

I really like my new moradian bag. Very tough, nice simple look, with good storage.

all the rockbags i've had have fallen apart...

    Niskamies,

I have a Roadrunner Premium bag, bought at Guitar Center during the past Labor Day sale. The sales guy sold it to me new for $50. I keep my Bongo 5 in it. I've never taken it out for a walk as I only plunk around at home. It is well padded and seems very sturdy. I also prefer hard cases, but consider this bag a good alternative. :hyper: :bassist: :hyper:

My Carvin bag is showing signs of wear, but still going strong after many years - used to bike all over town w/ that thing strapped to me.

The Rockbag that came w/ my new thumb is amazing though! Very well thought out design and seems very sturdy. I'm suprised people have had problems unless they've changed them.
