I am selling my SWR Megoliath cab and SM-900 Head. I have decided on purchasing a Schroeder 410 & 310212 cabs. I would like to know what Amps/Preamps that would work with this setup? I play mostly Modern Hard Rock/Heavy Metal but sometimes I do a occasional Classic Rock gig. One choice I had was a Ampeg SVT-Pro Preamp with a QSC RMX1850 Power Amp. Any others?

I usually recommend what I currently use.... Tech21 RBI preamp and Stewart world 1.2 power amp (16 LBS for the two plus a rack) $300 RBI, $650 for stewart new. you can run the stewart stereo (200w 8ohms each ) or bridged (1200w into 4ohms) Rbi is very flexibly on tones and not too expensive!!!

I love my aguilar db659, its incredibly easy to dial in a good tone, and it is also very versatile. I run a db659 through a Carvin DCM1000 power amp and it sounds awesome.

Hi-fi into an old tube amp
Two Schroeder cabs? :hyper: Ampeg stuff would probably meet your needs pretty well. I would go with tubes in some form or another, but that is just my taste.

+1 on the Tech21 RBI preamp and a power amp of your choice! :)
