What head/preamp does this clip bring to mind?

Calling all gearheads! So I'm looking at possibly getting a new head and thought I'd post an MP3 of a session I did years ago where I really dug the sound we got on the bass. We went direct so I'm wondering what head/preamp might get me in the same ball park tonally. Have a listen and let me know what you think. I really dig how "full" the low notes sound.

Also helpful might be something along the lines of "I don't know what it sounds like, but it's certainly not XYZ brand."

I just made the clip jumping around to different parts of the track so please excuse the funny cuts you'll hear - although I did try to make them line up with the beat at least. Also, in listening through the clip with headphones (Ipod earbuds) I lost alot of that thick lowend I like about the sound, so you may want to listen through good speakers.
