Had to go through my box of loose potentiometers to find replacements for a pair that had frozen in a very old bass. Found the usual suspects -- 250K, 500K, and a dozen stacked pots (Yikes! How'd THAT happen?), but I also found a pair of 100K pots with "Made in Taiwan" stamped into the case. I have no idea what 100K pots would be used for.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

Old guitar pedals, if nothing else. I'm pretty sure that the volume pot in each of my old Fulltone Bass-Drive pedals is a 100K.

  3. If you have a low impedance signal, you can use them as volume pots.
