What is a better deal?

    am Ampeg BA112 50-Watt Bass Amp for $349.99, or a Fender® Bassman® 60 60-Watt Bass Amp for $389.99 , anyhelp or input is appreciated

    i believe the fender has more features. as for sound, i couldn't recommend one over the other...go to mars or guitar center and audition both.....

    I would compare the two and see what you think. But I will say one thing about the BA112. When I was looking for a small combo to use at home and at an occasional quiet gig, I A/B'd the BA112 with the Fender Bassman 25.

    The Bassman 25 was louder, even though it is only 25 watts, and it handled the low B much better than the Ampeg. If the Bassman 60 is like the 25, it should be louder than the Ampeg.
     
  4. I gotta agree. I was using a Fender Bassman combo with a single 15" speaker when I was checking out Stingrays and Sterlings at Guitar Center and the amp sounded nice. nice full, deep sound, good mids, punchy. of course, that's how MusicMan basses sound too. but back to my point, I agree, the new Bassman combos do sound nice.
