What is a Power Conditioner?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by LizardKing45, Feb 12, 2001.

  1. Just like the subject says, what does a power condioner do?
  2. Unlike a regular multi-plug,a power conditioner provides
additional protection from outside interference like Fluorescent light buzz, spikes and dips in the current and crappy house wiring. Most of 'em also have an Led on the front to keep track of the voltage output. An even better device (and about twice as expensive)is a voltage regulator, which keeps a constant current going to your amp, regardless of surges or dips in current from the original power source.
