What is a roundcore string?

    Today at my local music store I went to pick up some new strings and accidentally got roundcore/taperwound strins rather than roundwound strings wats the difference?

    the difference is in the core. most strings are hex core. round core means the core wire is round. the round core is supposed to give the outer layers of the srting a tighter wrap. i'm not sure if it does anything to the sound, i have never really been able to tell the difference. it's always good to try different strings. even though you may think you like the ones you have, you might find ones you like better!
