Fender 1972 Jazz Bass (the finish is in horrible condition, but she plays and sounds amazing)

    Ampeg SVT-AL Head
    Ampeg SVT-810E Cab

That's what I have now, and its all I need/want.

Mine would include an Eden Navigator pre-amp - probably matched with an SWR Stereo 800 power amp (now discontinued if I remember right). Hook up say 2 15" cabs on one channel (Eden XLT's or SWR S.O.B.'s) and 1 18" cab (probably Eden again or maybe SWR) with 1 2x10" cab (SWR or Eden, as a stage monitor) on the other channel.

For basses, my dream base would be a custom shop version of the Fender Roscoe Beck. Everything would remain stock except for the finish (which would be transparent green) and it would be fretless. Don't know if I'd leave it as a 5 stringer or make it a 4.

    Same rig I have now:

    Alembic F1-X preamp
Mackie 1400i (rather have Crown or Crest, but this one works fine)
    Furman PL-Tuner
    SWR Goliath Sr. 6x10

It's all I need, ever. The REAL dream would be that I could get a 50lb combo amp that could match the tone and volume of this rig.
  8. -Fender Jazz Bass(Light green or Light red)
    -Seymour Duncan Preformer P-bass pickups
    -Ghs Bass Boomer Strings
    -standard 500 Monster cable
    -Ampeg SVT-350AV Anniversary Head x2
    -Ampeg SVT-810E Bass Enclosure x3

that costs about 6 grand but no limit on money make me crazy
  9. Current rig:
    Roscoe Beck 5 string

    Alembic F-1X preamp
    Rane MX22 crossover
    Rane PE17 parametric eq
    QSC MX-3000a stereo bi-amp
    Pair of custom 15" + 6" cabs

    Rig Additions:
    Furman rack power conditioning
E110 JBLs in place of my 6" mid-bass drivers
    2x10 cab: one 10" sub + one 10" E110
    2nd QSC power amp for mono-bridged bi-amping
    Rane RA27 analyzer
    Roadies to move it all
  10. i'd probably have a rackmount POD or another preamp, maybe aguilar, with a power amp, some bag end 15s, and some eden 10's.

    and a sadowsky 5. :)

didn't I answer this already? must've been another thread.

Fender P-bass, Ric 4001, and something short-scale (Ampeg, Alembic, whatever) into an Ampeg SVT driving an Ampeg 8-10 cab.

and someone to cart the last two around for me.

edit: oh yeah, I forgot -- I'd also like a set of Moog Taurus pedals and an Oberheim OB-Xa synth.

    o0o0o let see

2 trace elliot 1200ahsmx or something like that
    or 2 swr sm900's

    2 henry 8x8's and 2 big berthas
or 2 megoliaths and 2 big berthas.

for basses, i want a peavey cirrus 5 walnut body, yamaha john myung 6, and a few other basses including a sr3005, btb 1005, pedulla pentabuzz and a warick streamer 5 all wiht bartolini pickups
  14. I would get EVERYTHING ;P

well for serious I would get:

    Lots of Mesa Boogie power,

A Hartke 4.5XL (4 of their best high power aluminum 10's and a 5 to boost highs)

A Hartke 15 (the paper coned version for slightly warmer lows)

A Custom bass with a funky sound maybe a MM pickup and one J so I could really get that popping funk sound... Don't know which brand, guess i would have to see who would make it cost the most if money was not an issue. Oh yeah i would have to go in and oversee the building of it, and get to know it from square one...

I still have not found better than medium-heavy D'addario EXLs

    Bass Balls
    Mutron (original)
    bass wah

    You know anything Fon-kay

    All tweed cords

It would funk the living H*** out of everyone present!!!!

With all due respect, Hartke stinks.
  16. i've already got most of my "dream rig"

    Currently, i've got:
    Eden Wt-800
    Eden D-4x10xlt (8ohms)
Furman power strip (dont know which model)
    ATA style 4 space rack

    What i wanna add:
    Eden D-4x10xlt (8ohms)
    Eden D2x15 xlt
    Korg DTR-1

As for basses, i only have a MIM Jazz, but i'd like to add:
    Peavey Cirrus, 5 string
    Ernie Ball Sterling 4 string
  17. Furman PL-Plus Power Conditioner
    Korg DTR-1 Digital Tuner
    Shure U4d-UB Wireless
SWR Grand Prix Pro Bass Pre Amp
    Aphex 661Expressor
    Eventide GTR-4000 Ultra - Harmonizer
Meyer Sound CP - 10 Parametric Equalizer
    Crest 7001 Power Amp
Meyer MSL - 2A Speaker Cabinets
    Meyer 650 Sub Speaker Cabinets

Thats Sefan Lessards Rack set up, minus the Audio Switcher and a few extra pre-amps
Actually im pretty happy with what I have now. I can walk into a guitar center and not drool anymore. I could defently use that Ultra Harmonizer though.
