    What is it called when you get a song used in a radio commericial, movie, or television commercial? What is it called and where can I find informaion about that market?

  10. First, you need to become a member of either ASCAP or BMI. Then you need to write really good music, and record it at a very high quality. Then you need to send the best stuff you have to as many music libraries as you can.

    Then sit back, pop a beer, and wait for your quarterly $200 check to roll in.:)

    My recording teacher detailed us on the whole process, since that was how he financed his personal recording studio.

    I was forced by my wife to watch American Idol last week when they had Barry Manilow on and I was rather impressed by him. I'm not really into his music but for what he does he knows his stuff.
