I have seen alot of Rickenbacker basses in the fireglo color, which unless I am mistaken (happens pretty often these days) is the transparent cherry red type burst.
But what does a jetglo finish look like?

    Thanks fuzzbass.
does a 4003 in jetglo have a black headstock or a natural one?
    Also, what is mapleglo?

Man I am disapointed I was expecting some crazy cool color with a name like jetglo. :(

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's the other, later blue - Midnight Blue, I think it's called.

Here's my 1981 Azureglo 4001 before I fixed it up (in crappy light, but you get the idea):

It's more of a cornflower blue. Here's another one (not mine):

I love the Jet and other colors but I always get the impression that all the basses that finish out perfectly get a clear finish and the less that perfect ones get the solid colors.

    Gimme El Natural.

OTOH, those transluscent Cheyenne finishes are kinda' nice.
Is this the new fiver with a wider board everyone's talkin' about?

I've never been a big fan of black basses, but, for some strange reason, I kinda diggin' a Jetglo 4003!

Remember that psychedlic looking Ric that Paul McCartney played in the "All You Need is Love" video? That thing ruled.

They say that Azureglo is kinda scarce, but not really rare. I've run across a few of them.

  16. Please stop posting Ricphotos... Although I own a 4003 I'm drooling... why... WHY are Rickenbackers the best in the universe? :)

    A 4005, I believe.

They're more common single bound (like a 360), but I have seen pictures of double bound ones like the Mapleglo above.

That double neck looks good, its got like a trans yellow finish with black pickguard....very vintage.
