I have a Fender J-Bass that has the big "Fender" logo on the headstock like most Fenders and a little "Squire" logo on the end of the headstock. It is also made in Mexico and was made in 1994.

Now is this bass a "Squire" bass or a "MIM Jazz Bass"?

It's a Squier. They have had several different headstock logos.

That is a Squier Jazz Bass, back when the Squiers were still made in Mexico. Those MIM Squiers are about as good as today's MIM Fenders. They are pretty good basses for the money.

Thanks for the clarification. I know that the new Squires are made in Korea, so I wasn't sure about my bass.
