Well, you might as well leave the forum forever if you can't take some ribbing. Also, this is the quintessential sarcastic question asked here, as it has been asked more than any other. Take a look around the site and make use of the info that is already here.
Theres no best bass for any genre. Just play heaps of brands & see what you like. Also that question has been asked alot in the past on this forum. So much that its become a joke. So sorry for the people who will make fun of this thread & have fun in your quest for a sweet bass to play the music you love.
When I read your comment, I thought to myself, I've been there. I still feel that way sometimes, been gassing for a new amp.
Yeah the "What's the best (fill in the blank) for metal?" is kind of a running cliche joke around here, no offense intended. Do read the forum rules, though, so you don't run afoul of the admins. The aggressive outburst is really not in keeping with the spirit of the forums or the letter of the rules, so hang around for a bit and get the feel of things before selecting a mode of expression.
Don't listen to these haters. They're wrong. There IS a best bass for metal, and anyone who pretends there isn't is just jealous because their totally inefficient p basses aren't up to the task.
