What is the most attractive headstock design you’ve ever seen?

    That's what happens when I hastily reply without finishing a thought or proofreading. The stripe started in 72 and went until the early 80's. Yeah the newer 4001's like the CS, V63, C64, and C64S didn't have the stripe.

    My SX has the worst headstock. This one is so much more attractive.

    From what I have seen it went from attractive to abstract? So in closing,IMO IMG_0802 (1).JPG here is attractive,not abstract

    Pretty - no doubt. But I never liked the way Rickenbacker bends their strings into the nut just so they can
    show of their nameplate. Look at most modern/cool designs, and the strings flow straight down pretty much.

    Does the Ric way cause any real-life problems? I can't say...

    Lol I'm going to take a guess that the NJ stands for neck joint as this is a bolt on and the NT (neck through) were the higher end models wth active pickups from bc rich. NJ was the moniker for their Japanese models a long time ago in the 80's but mine is Korean made and still carries the same moniker
