What is this ? and are those Flats ?

Hello I recently came across this video and I'd really like to identify this bass and whether it's strung with flats or the reason it sounds the way it does clean. (i know he is using a pluctrum) and it's either a hollow or semi hollow but beyond that please help.

Thanks a lot most probably with those lollipop style tuners and the body size. I didn't even know these Yamaha's existed.
