what is this bass?

Hard to tell. No name on the headstock. Kinda cool though with the j-p-j pickup configuration.

 

We don't hear a lot about some of the manufacturers and luthiers that sell in the Central and South American countries. I think there are a number of brands in those markets, but I don't think they export much.

I noticed in another video from that channel that someone was playing a nice Hofma acoustic.

 

The builders name is Ademir Coelho de Sousa, who is apparently a renowned
luthier in Belo Horizonte. The only thing he as online is a myspace. It looks like he actually made a pretty cool design based off of a Ritter bass.
