    pino.
First of all, Pino with a Lakland.
But it doesn't quite look like the JO Lakland.

    Any ideas?

And has anyone ever seen Pino with a Lakland before?

Almost looks like a Lakland neck on a MIA deluxe body

According to Lakland's website he's an endorser.

What would lead you to believe the bass in that photo isn't a Lakland? Personally, I can't see enough of it to know for sure.

Though he now has a Fender Signature Model, Pino has also played and endorsed Laklands for years. He was used in some early advertising. In fact, there was very nearly a Lakland Pino Palladino Signature Model.

If this is the same bass (albeit under different lighting conditions) it appears to be a Lakland Joe Osborn Signature Model in Candy Apple Red with what appears to be Bartolini pickups (note absence of exposed pole pieces, which would indicate Fralin or Aero).

I didn't realize he was such a lakland-head. I've always known him to be a P-bass guy, with the exception of the fretless years, of course.
