What is used to produce this tone??

    I don't know if the tone in this music clip is because of technique or special effects. Listen to the bass line at the 4 second mark.Is that a chord that he is playing to get that sound or harmonics or what? This is a praise song by Donnie McClurkin called "I love to Praise Him." In order to keep it under 2 megs I had to cut it down to about 10 seconds. :rolleyes: Hopefully its long enough that you can follow it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    To me it sounds like he's just using chords. Not much effect on the bass in that clip.

    I agree, it's a chord. Might have a little overdrive on it, but that could be an artifact of the mp3 compression.

    Yeah, it doesn't sound like any kind of pedal or OD circuit.
