Basses - I'm not much of a fan of boutique basses, I go more for practicality and likelihood of ownership. List is in order of acquisition
    • FrankenJazz Bass - mahogany body, (black pickguard, natural finish; I finally found the body that would give the sound I want) 60s Jazz bass neck (maple/maple, bone nut), Bartolini 9J pickups, BadAss bridge, chrome hardware
    • Music Man Stingray 4 - 3 band EQ, sky blue finish, rosewood fretboard
    • Rickenbacker 4001

    • Ashdown ABM 900 EVO II
    • Ashdown ABM 410T
    • Ashdown ABM 115

Effects - Order is the chain; acquisition is "as they show up," but the tuner is definitely first.
    • Korg Pitch Black
    • (maybe) Tech 21 Sansamp Bass DI
    • EHX Micro POG
    • EHX Q-Tron
    • MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz
    • Boss BF-2/3 Flanger
    • (maybe) VooDoo Lab Pedal Power 2, if I can't daisy chain

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

I love my setup I pretty much have my dream rig....

    Head: Ampeg SVT-CL (got it!)
Cab: 4x10 or 6x10 Bergantino (have a Berg made Sadowsky 4x10)
Basses: A Fender P, an active Jazz style and a Stingray (have all 3)
Effects: Just an MXR Bass Auto-Q for funky stuff (I recently gave up on using other tone sucking effects completely)

The only thing I would change is having 2 Ampeg 8x10 cabs but they would have to come with a permanent mover as I refuse to wheel these monsters around any more!

Sure I would take a Fodera, Roscoe, Ritter or Dingwall if given to me, but I can finally say after 20 years I finally have my dream rig (for now!)

Some sort of custom built bass, built with the P bass as an insperiation(not a clone, or copy) and able to NAIL the tone of my 64 Precision.

Sunn 2000s and 200s (already have those)

Two 8x10 Ampeg cabs , and/or Sunn 2x15 folded horn cabs equiped with a pair of attractive lady roadies to move them for me, free of charge, and a full size van that get's 30+ miles per gallon.

Skills. I just want seriously massive skills. I've got a bass and an amp.

. . . okay, you could talk me into a 5-string Warwick Infinity NT and a nice tube stack. ^_~

But I want the skills more than anything.

    Assuming I have roadies...

2 70's SVT's, each driving an 8x10 and a 4x12. Don't ask me why, 2 is just better than one :bag:

Notice how in these threads, we always describe our own dreams setup but nobody ever discusses each other's picks, we just post ours and leave? :bag::D:p

I'm pretty satisfied with my current set-up although I would like to update my amp rig.. I've been thinking of either a Carvin or Peavey set-up.. I'd also like to eventually get another M5V to back up the one I already have..
