What is YOUR favorite bass?

    My favorite bass is the hotrod american P-Bass by fender. I like the tone, and the nifty colors! I was wondering what everybody elses favorite bass is? What is your favorite bass? why? Post pics too!
  2. definitely love the Carvin i played at a guitar store a few days ago. can't bring the model name into memory, but that was like "the bass". great tone, versitility, looks!!
    too bad im cheap huh

  8. i have way to many basses.

    lately i have been spending alot of time with a warwick 4 thumb bolt on and a musicvox 12.

    but the bass i will always love and rate others by is my pedulla 4 buzz.

    damn sweet bass. :D

    Warwick corvette standard 5. Pre 98' though, so it has the brass nut and wenge neck.

    If we're talkin faveorite of the ones we own or have owned in the past.My Epi Casady bass.Of all out there?Tuff call as i live in the boonies and havnt been able to play most of the exotics.But a random choice would be the F bass's.Very nice indeed'e!Good luck!

    I don't have one favorite. My favorites would be (in no particular order:

    84 Tobias 5 string: unique sound, great B.
    78 Tobias 4 string: After 20 years I still don't think I play up to the capabilities of this bass.
    78 Fender Jazz: If you could hear this bass in the mix live;)
    97 Fender MIA JD5: If you could hear this bass in the mix live;)
    Clover Bass Tard 5: If you could hear this bass in the mix live;)...also best B string.
    81 G&L L2000E: ridiculous dynamic range and versatility
    Zon Legacy Standard fretless 5: Still the best fretless I've ever played (and not 'cause I haven't looked around ;))

    Honorable mention (don't own one) - Linc Luthier Madagascar Ebony/Purpleheart/ Walnut 4 string: playability on par with my 78 Tobias, the best soloed bridge pickup sound I've heard so far.

    These all do something (or many things) better than other basses I've owned/played.

    I have two that I like warwick corvette 5 1997 lefty and a stingray 5 {musicman} lefty.
