Please post pictures if possible. This has always been one of my favorites.
LPB and Rosewood!!
Sonic Blue, Mary Kay White, Sea Foam Green, and Shell Pink. Not necessarily in that order.
black body, white pg, maple board, white mop blocks. had a 1979 like that. traded it like a fool.
My fave is Candy apple Red, with a matching headstock!
...but i am also partial to Antigua... aka: swag-burst!
Not really vintage but sweeeet!
My fav is Lake Placid Blue w/matching headstock.
How's about this then:
Hummm, I stand corrected and I need to work on my 'fro!
That Antigua would be a late '70s model...am I right?
It looks like it has a 3 bolt neck...hence the poor neck alignment in relation to the strings.
Great looking axe, but those 3 bolt necks with the micro tilt adjustment REALLY sucked the tone out of the bass
I'm not sure I can say I ever noticed any tone difference in the three bolt over four. The worst alignment I ever had was a four bolt (1992 American Standard "Boner") and all of my Elites have tilt neck adjustments and I like the sound they make.
Maybe you are thinking about the oversized neck slots some of the '70s basses have? G&Ls and early Musicmans all have three bolts and I have never heard about any troubles with those.
+1 here; or Lake Placid Blue, white pearloid PG, maple neck with white mop blocks
Nothing tops a NICE (target) sunburst, with tortoise pickguard, rosewood fretboard and all the blingbling added:
That's mine as well, and what I own.
Other acceptable answers would be: Black body, rosewood, tort.
Definitely Oly White and Tort
3 tone sunburst/ Tort PG and rosewood...All the way. 2nd choice is Sea Foam Green with white PG. Oh so good!
1. Oly white/brown tort/rosewood (I have a '62 AVRI like this)
How about, all of the above!!
EDIT: How could I forget SHELL PINK!!!
Olympic white & tort, preferably with dots & binding. Like mine.
