What is your happiest moment as a bassist?

Discussion in 'Ask Mike Watt [Archived]' started by Guss, Nov 30, 2002.

  1. Hey Mike!

Just wondering what was your happiest moment as a bassist. Things like, the hardest piece you ever mastered, great stories of good experiences, you get the picture.:) :D

that would fill a book, maybe several! I was pretty much happy every time I got to wail along w/d. boon, he was very inspiring. I dug playing w/the asheton brohters adn j mascis a couple weeks ago and iggy a couple weeks before that. wild. every gig has some moments though I must admit there's uncomfortable moments too - like real life!

the hardest lick I learned? hmm... I think even harder than a lick is getting a good feel - that can be tough, even w/very simple moves to make. that's the grail though, a good feel and a good groove. manna.
