my main axes are all 7 strings, but i play fretted and fretless pretty much equally.
i guess i'll pick 7 string fretless, since that was my first 7 string.

Wow! I am the only one so far who plays a fretless 5 as their main bass?

    I am so lonely!

It's actually 45% fretless five, 45% fretted five, 9% fretted four and 1% fretted 6.

I consider the fretless five the main one because I play it live more than the fretted, the fretless is used 3 times a week(sometimes more) at church and the fretted 5 is only used at gigs, which have been slow the past 3 months.

Hey, I played fretless 5 exclusively for almost three years. then I bought the fretted 5, sold the fretless 5, to now get a better fretless 5 (lightwave). Love to play both.

Great looking Zon, embellisher! Bubinga? Redwood? Piezo?

Well, uhhh...CRAP! I gotta get me a digital camera!
Anyhoo, user your imagination here. Picture the beauty below, BUT -
all the grain goin' one way (none of that 2-piece, book-matched schtuff).
NOW...Dip the whole thing in golden honey tone (amber maybe?) for a less
bright, garish finish. Add to that a reddish-brown cocobolo board and
    oiled birdseye maple neck. Mmmmm...warm.

Dude! I've had it fer purt' near four years now :D . It was the first
thang I got after my 10 year tour of Dante's Inferno - oops!

  13. Of course... it's all about my Jay Turser :D
Should I get the award for "Only Talkbasser with a Jay Turser as main axe". BTW it's a fretted four.

  14. i voted fretless 4, but these days i have been playing a thumb bass fretted 4.

i still have my pedulla buzz 4, and that is my soul, played it for 12 years, still consider it my main bass even though i have been trying to play fretted for about 1/2 a year.

  15. This is my only bass at the moment, actually I have a fretted 4-str. but I have chosen to forget it :) I got plans getting a 5-str. fretless and a 6-str. fretted, I´ve also talked to Bill Conklin about getting myself a 7-str :)

    Well,

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of my bass, but the one on the left is really close, right down to the color!

    That's my baby!:D

  20. Fretless 4.

    Like my profile says.

I was actually thinking that Paul could probably build us a stats-type thing if everyone filled out their profiles.

It would allow us to see what the average post/day is, what most peoples main instrument is, all the stuff that has been showing up on polls today, actually.

Just my opinion, abuse it as you see fit.
