Talking about Gershwin in a previous thread gave me this idea.
It would be fun to know your personal theme songs or anthems...if you have one.

My most enduring one probably is "Summertime" by George Gershwin. In the last decade it has been Emmanuel's "Se Fue Mi Juventide Y No Lo Sabia." (My Youth Left and I Didn't Know.)

Do any of you have theme songs you feel best sum up your persoanilty or some time of your life?
  2. "Will Not be Your Fool" by David Bromberg sums up my love life. My theme- depending on mood- is either Mingus' "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat", or Barber's "Adagio for Strings".
  3. Hmm....

    "Freewill" - Rush
    "Presto" - Rush
    "Face Up" - ...surprise!! Rush
  4. Strange - The Living End
A Year In The Past Forever In The Future - Grade
    Change - Planet Smashers
Life of The Party - Planet Smashers
    In The Garage - Weezer
    Aside - Weakerthans
I Can Feel It - Sloan

there are more, but I don't want to bore any of you :)

Theme Song?...Hmn...never though of it that way. I dunno. I'm so Bi-Polar about my music, so to find one song, or even a few, is pretty hard to do. Not to mention, no songs really have hit me like an anthem or a mantra or anything. Suffice to say, my theme would be pretty whacked out if I ever find it...

I have way too many favorite songs for just one to be my own theme song. But I do have different songs dedicated to different people. My song varies on my mood. :) Or whatever song I heard last time I was listenin to the radio....watchin' tv.......
