allright... fire up the old imaginations, guys. Its time for the ultimate dream rig thread. What is your dream rig? (Basses, cables/wireless, amps, cabs, compressors, effects, tuners, etc)

Money is no object, of course, and you may list stuff that you already own.

    Mine would be:

    Fender Custom Shop Precision Bass
    Musicman Stingray 4
    -into shure wireless transmitter

    8-space rack:
Furman power conditioner & light module
    Shure UHF wireless receiver
    Korg DTR-1 tuner
    Ampeg SVP-PRO preamp
    Crown K2 power amp
    Crown K2 power amp

    4 Ampeg SVT 810E 8x10 cabs

    stage effects:
    Q tron envelope filter
    bassballs envelope filter
    big muff bass overdrive
    EBS bass IQ envelope filter

(I've edited this sooo many times! :D )

  5. I can't think of a dream rig because

    a) I'm not a gear head

    b) I can't even hear the sound I want in my head... I just know what I like and what I don't.

However, I'd like to hear the set up that Bass Player used with an 8 string... the bass frequencies ran through a bass amp and the higher frequencies went into a guitar amp.

    Oh, this is easy.

Any bass that sounds good, and a 20lb combo amp that'll handle large outdoor gigs.

    Wanna know anything else? :D
  19. Basses:

Fender custom shop P-bass and matching J-Bass

    Warick Streamer Stage II

    Ibanez custom ATK

    Amp setup:

Ampeg SVT-2 (maybe a few of those running, :) )

    about 5 Ampeg 8x10 cabs

6x15 Ampeg cab (have to get it custom, of course)

not sure, but about 15 pedalboards full of pedals, and i can get roadies to run around and push them for me :)
